Summer 2014- Became company's first employee- Joined Quorum after three weeks of self-taught programming. Built Quorum’s Districts page with D3.js and Django. Gave clients the ability to visually compare Census data on an interactive map (down to the tract level). Incorporated these statistics into member profiles and other analytic tools.Fall 2014 – Spring 2015 (while enrolled as a Junior)- Designed and built Quorum’s first dynamic spreadsheet page giving clients the ability to compare legislative and geographic statistics.Spring 2015 – Fall 2016- Moved to DC and began a two year leave of absence. Led Quorum’s data and visualization team. Scraped social media, rebuilt the districts tool using Leaflet.js, and built a suite of reusable D3.js legislative analytic tools. Improved Quorum’s quicksearch feature by creating a series of smart regexes to better match and classify bill titles.Fall 2016 – Summer 2017- Became the Tech Lead for Quorum’s project management and outreach tools.- Interviewed, recruited, and onboarded new developers.- Conducted code reviews.- Designed and built the first iteration of Quorum’s project management page giving clients the ability to organize, track, and prioritize projects within their organization.- Led the design and integration of Quorum’s custom contacts feature which gave clients the ability add,track, and manage relationships.- Led the design and integration of client custom data.- Rewrote Quorum’s Note, Relationship, and Interaction tools using React and Redux contributing to the goal of transitioning to a single page app. Helped reduce page load time by 10x.- Led the design and implementation of Quorum’s Outbox tool. Outbox combined Quorum’s legislative and client custom data to send millions of personalized emails while also giving clients a simple way to track and manage engagement and outreach. Outbox became Quorum's most used and stickiest product.
