Established a unique camp culture and vibrant community of participant families, engaging them in programs throughout the year. • Created a new day camp for toddlers and parents, 2 overnight camps, and a Leaders-in-Training program for teens. Grew participation from 51 campers/5 weeks of camp in 2012 to 143 campers/10 weeks of camp in 2015. • Wrote 6 successful grant applications for a total of $12,000 toward camper scholarships, and launched an innovative annual fundraising event to secure additional financial assistance.• Scheduled and delivered interpretive programs about a variety of science and natural history topics at state parks, senior centers, and other local venues. • Implemented a pioneering therapeutic program called Bird Tales for residents with dementia in local memory care units, which was recognized by local government officials and national media. Presented about success with reaching new audiences at a state-wide professional conference (CAEE) and received only outstanding feedback. • Initiated an annual Christmas Bird Count for Kids citizen science event and grew it to over 100 participants. • Developed and implemented publicity/marketing plans for camps and other programs.
