My research work required development of effective nano-carriers for drug delivery using supercritical carbon dioxide. NADEG process was utilized to encapsulate CBD and THC in liposomes for development of potential modern day cannabis drugs to combat cancer and multiple sclerosis like critical illnesses. Drug release studies were conducted to stimulate and evaluate drug releasing performances of liposomes produced. Characterization techniques such as GC, UV-vis, DLS, and TEM were used to analyze morphologies and quantify sizes, surface charges, and encapsulation efficiencies of CBD and THC loaded liposomes. I also studied other analytical methods such as FTIR, TGA, and SEM. An elaborated report entailing accomplishments from fabrication of cannabinoids encapsulated liposomes from NADEG process is currently being reviewed for a potential publication.I also explored Gas Anti-Solvent (GAS) and other supercritical fluid processes to investigate production of polymeric microparticles for development of medicinal cannabis formulations.I developed critical research skills by reviewing range of scientific literature. I am skilled in establishing complex experimental rigs for gas and fluid systems. Besides basic laboratory skills, I can operate HPLC and syringe pumps with the ability to prime syringe pumps when required. Improved my safety awareness and understanding of emergency protocols by operating high-pressure pumps and handling gas cylinders on daily basis. It comprises different components such as Quality, Direct Labor, Indirect Labor, Material Variance, and Product Outputs. There is a cost associated to each component and the tool can be used to distinguish between components with highest and lowest losses on any selected date.Other duties:- Recorded syrup production data daily from syrup room and analysed it to ensure the syrups were within target specifications.- Communicated with line operators to create new and improve old work instructions to ensure the operators and new recruits can understand instructions and operate lines effectively.- Contributed to the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) register by working with Asahi's distribution center to calculate the monetary losses incurred from discarding products with quality issues. The role facilitated the development of technical skills in SAP, OFS (Operations Feedback Systems), and Advanced Excel (i.e. conditional formatting, pivot tables and pivot reporting, VBA, functions).
