Station inputs include determining the existing capacities of internal station infrastructure such as concourses, vertical transport including stairways, escalators and lifts, and gatelines.• Pedestrian Modeller - Sydney Light Rail:The objective of this project was to evaluate an entrance design for Central Station based on the proposed light rail schedule for normal and special events services. Utkarsh was responsible for updating an existing dynamic Legion Spaceworks models with the new design after developing it in AutoCAD. He then had to adapt the model to operate with the proposed design and higher passenger demand based on the shorter headways between light rail services in the special events scenario. After developing and running the model, Utkarsh was required to extract relevant data and analyse the model outputs to produce meaningful results and recommendations for the client.• Data Analyst - Redfern Station Upgrades:Utkarsh was tasked to increase the efficiency of journey time analysis for the data outputs from Legion Spaceworks dynamic pedestrian models for the Redfern Station Upgrades to the pedestrian footbridge. To accomplish this, he programmed a complex Excel tool using VBA to process model output data and extract and analyse relevant data to provide a summary of key journey time metrics from each of the data sets.
