• Engineering management: Engineering management for Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) and Selective Catalyst Reactor (SCR) for coal-fired Thermal Power Plant. It includes: Review of technical specification, Datasheet and General Arrangements for Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) plant with respect to Owner Technical Specification. Scope verification, deviations resolution and approval of documents. Overall responsible for shorting out and technical deviation and engineering approval in line with technical specifications and tender requirements. Coordinate and manage my engineering team (Doosan Heavy Industries – South Korea) for preparation of engineering documents in line with technical specifications and tender requirements to achieve the schedule and secure the approval from owner’s engineer as per agreed Master Document List (MDL).  Liaising with Petroleum & Explosive Safety Organisation (PESO) for Ammonia Handling and Storage System for SCR.  Preparation, approval and issuance of Design/ Scope Change Note (DCN) to Procurement department. Review of engineering progress and report to Project Director.  Optimisation of Engineering man-hours. Engineering coordination with Owner and their Consultant (i.e. NTPC, TOSHIBA JSW).  Site Engineering Coordination and Field Troubleshooting for site engineering issues.• Project delivery management  Scheduling: Preparation and review of L1, L2 and L3 level schedule for Engineering, manufacturing and inspection, dispatch, erection commissioning till Performance guarantee and handing over. Preparation of delivery plan according to L2 Schedule, cash Flow and Site requirement. Review and monitor the individual deliverables i.e. engineering, manufacturing and stage and final inspection and dispatch to site. Review of Billing Breakup (BBU) and its approval from client.• Cost and billing management: Preparation of Annual Operating Plans (AOPs),  Cost Booking plan for monthly, quarterly and yearly.

Roles & Responsibilities• Planning/ scheduling:- Drawing L2 Schedule for packaged assigned for execution with respect to Project L2 schedule and milestones. - Closure Report of packages.• Engineering Coordination- Preparation and obtain approval of Master Document List from owner’s engineer.- Review and release of Technical Specification, Design Criteria, Layout plan, General Arrangement of different packages for balance of power plant system etc. - Ensure the release of technical specification of bought out package/ material from engineer in charge and review the same with respect to Scope of work and technical / tender specification for RFQ to bidders.- Review, approval and release of Technical Bids and Bid Evaluation Report (BER) prepared by engineering department to SCM for commercial negotiation. Assessment of technical deviation if any.- Technical negotiation with bidders and ensure the purchase order placement in line with L2 Schedule. • Vendor management:- Organise the Kick- off Meetings among all stakeholders of projects.- Preparation of Purchase Request and release to SCM.- Complete ownership of vendors’ engineering document approval from owner/ owner consultant.- Monitor and expedite the Manufacturing, Inspection Dispatch of material.- Logistics coordination with SCM and vendor. - Preparation of GRN, Vendor invoicing and payment, LD imposition/ waiver and retention payment. - Review and proposal for Time Extension, Vendor’s Bank guarantees extension/ termination.Site Support:- Support to Site team during MRC of material from client and Mandatory spare handing over.- Arrange technical support to site during erection and field trouble.- Arrange technical assistance/Visit of the vendor during erection and commission of plant.- Arrange technical training for the client during the commissioning of the plant..
