Collaborated with Product leadership to focus research efforts in line with business objectives on multiple levels. Designed and implemented a standardized system for recruiting high-quality usability participants, including a screener survey, Craigslist recruitment funnel, and incentive distribution. Directed first-ever recording set-up for user interviews: live-streamed video of interviewee’s hands, face, and mobile device to remote teammates. Created a system for managing team observations from usability studies, with bespoke forms and a rhythm for distilling insights from individual observations.At weekly “research synthesis” meetings, presented synthesized research results to Product team, recorded recommended actions and further research objectives.

Worked with team leads across departments to discover internal end-user needs, and communicate with the engineering team to make sure those needs are met. Produced internal release notes and product training materials, to keep all team members up-to-date with our constantly evolving product. As the primary interlocutor between the Consumer Experience and Engineering teams, identified the scope and impact of software bugs, ensuring engineers were empowered to keep the multi-faceted product performing at top capacity.

As the Software Coordinator for our proprietary METRIX product, I helped coordinate production of software deliverables, and developed end-user manuals for the finished product. As a consultant, I connected retailers large and small with game-changing strategies in high-performance Retail Sales, Management, Training, and more. Work for a high-end electronics retailer included the development of a custom Excel plug-in that enabled analysis of sales data with Friedman Group techniques, by interfacing directly with corporate reporting systems.

Administered a distance-learning program within all San Diego Good Feet stores to develop staff sales skill, improve conversion rates, average sales, and drive the top line.Authored and produced an end-user guide for company-specific procedures in Microsoft Retail Management System. User guide includes step-by-step instructions, graphics and in-depth explanations for users of all experience levels.

Wrote instructional program for new employee certification in foot anatomy, arch support fitting and company policy compliance, to include a textbook and battery of online tests.Responsible for training new franchisees in sales techniques to meet government and corporate regulations preventing diagnosis and prescription during presentation of arch supports.Designed, coordinated and administrated software procedures for five retail stores, including payroll.Produced various marketing, training and sales materials directed toward target audiences, including DVD scripts, manuals and PowerPoint® presentations.Designed and maintained multiple databases, spreadsheets and reports for corporate and store functions.
