I started lecturing preparation courses of tests of study requirements for secondary and later primary schools shortly after finishing secondary school education, so I was teaching students that were around the same age as me. On one hand, it gives me a great opportunity to improve in public speaking. On the other hand, it is also something I enjoy doing and have always been good at. I try to pass on my own personal experience with solving the tests and not only teach sample exercises. This way I get a chance to coach, which is very fulfilling and the students appreciate it as well.

I led a student organization with around 70 volunteers, coordinated its everyday life and spread its field of activity. Establishing the organization completely fulfilled me. I was able to implement my idea, lead my biggest project at the time, contribute to improving the quality of the student life at the Masaryk University, and work and interact with great people that formed the organization.

I had a chance to try various activities at the Czech Embassy in Brazil. I analysed current political problems of Brazil and Venezuela, assisted with the preparation of a festival of Czech films in three biggest cities of Brazil, met with activists and journalists and visited meetings of EU representatives. Apart from the insight into the diplomatic environment, I also had a chance to get to know a beautiful country, its not so beautiful capital, and the warmth and hospitality of the Brazilians. I returned to Brazil for another two months the following year.

Shortly after commencing studies at the University, I got to know a very active group of people that pointed me in the right direction and although this might sound like a kitsch, it is true. Be International gave me the right conditions necessary to implement my ideas. Even though the area of human rights, that the organization was based on, wasn't entirely familiar to me, taking part in its development and organizing discussions was very fulfilling. Last but not least, thanks to Be International I was able to participate in numerous workshops and training courses and got to travel to many countries in the world.

I started my summer internship at the regional editorial department virtually without any experience. Despite that the internship eventually turned into a part-time job. I wrote about the important events happening in the region and the biggest challenge was writing about topics related to politics. Even though the job was quite hard, it was also diverse and I enjoyed doing it. I was lucky to be part of a great team in very energetic environment and learnt a lot from this experience.
