Hello! My name is Vanesa Quiroga and I am a school social worker! I obtained my Masters in Social Work at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis in 2022 and my Bachelors in Social Work and minors in Spanish and Human Development & Family Studies from Indiana University Bloomington in 2020. I ventured into the realm of social services because of my passion for people and the strength in empowerment. The opportunities are endless when it comes to the outlets to advocate for the value of relationships. I hopefully want to become a person of the people; advocating, providing resources, and being an overall support system. Not only my drive and passion for people, but also my leadership ability have been put to work through numerous organizations. As the President of a Latinx Dance Team and a GM for Indiana University’s College Mentors for Kids chapter, I have been able to work with diverse groups and understand the differences of backgrounds and needs. While working with a diverse group of individuals, I was able to grow/adapt, understand and prioritize their unique needs and complete responsibilities efficiently. Through LinkedIn, I hope to gain a strong network with others on a professional level; I’m excited to learn and connect.
