    Managing 18 Thai staff in a 5 star resort in Thailand which was challenging but rewarding, staff were limited in their level of English and extensive training was implemented to improve language communication, menu knowledge and building confidence when liaising with guests. Standards of European and Western style sequence of service was also focused on to improve a higher standard for guest satisfaction. Initial and continual training with staff was given on food quality and presentation, stock control and limiting food wastage, up selling wines, drinks, desserts, tea and coffee to guests in an effective manner. I introduced a variety of buffet events, fun theme nights, hosting of private chef services in villas or on the beach and cooking classes with our chef to generate higher revenue. Monitoring and improving time frames for restaurant orders and room service was a strong focus along with coordinating and supervising the daily operational requirements of all Food and Beverage staff. Liaising daily with guests was a must to monitor service, and guest experiences and expectations. Special evenings such as anniversaries or birthdays were also prepared as requested providing guests with an unbelievable dining experience. Monthly financial targets were always exceeded. I received many compliments on trip advisor and written and verbal compliments expressing how I enhanced the guests stay.I then moved onto event and wedding coordination, liaising heavily via email and skype with international bride and grooms around the world on every detail of their wedding day. All departments of the hotel were coordinated with timed schedules to complete their part in the events. I booked and coordinated all of the event formalities, decorations, music, entertainment, food and beverage whilst upholding a 5 star standard. My goal was to always exceed the guests expectations and provide the most memorable time for the bride, groom and all of their guests to enjoy and never forget.
