Hospital Violence Intervention (HVIP) & Community Health Worker ProgramsManage full scope of program phases including program roll-out, strategic planning, staffing, training, clinical integration, evaluation metrics, resource advocacy, quality control, & identifying strategic community partnerships. Own the end-to-end process operational and logistical procedures for Delaware’s first Hospital Violence Intervention Program (HVIP), now successfully implemented across 2 state hospitals & plans for expansion by end of year. Management of multidisciplinary teams to support hospital cost savings initiatives.Received nationwide accreditation from the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI).. Present regular program status updates for executive leadership, internal, & external stakeholders.Provide oversight and guidance, development, & demonstration of performance competencies.Formulated a detailed grant proposal to grow the existing program in efforts to support patients that may have been impacted by community violence securing a $200,000 grant through the Criminal Justice Council (CJC) for program expansion to statewide coverage with additional frontline personnel.Demonstrate agility and adaptability by maintaining resiliency and adjusting to change by exploring rationale, new approaches, and collaborating with others to make strategic changes.Collaborate with cross functional teams such as legal, risk management, finance, marketing, behavioral health, and analytics partners. Provide daily, consistent oversight of on-site program staff members including 2 program coordinators and 10 community health workers providing constructive feedback on leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and people managing skills.Assumed responsibilities of 2 additional Community Health Programs in need of reassessment and strategic revamping the existing processes. Under my leadership 1,025+ patients have successfully completed and benefited from these programs.

Community COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Operations Co-lead on community vaccination events in high-risk, low-income communities throughout 3 counties. Established event protocols and planning for 24 statewide vaccination events reaching approximately 5,869 community members.Oversee all communication regarding logistical components including confirmation, staffing, and supply chain.Coordinated registration efforts including the development of registration links, marketing collateral, and communication channels in both English and Spanish.Implemented a new virtual care component for at-risk communities. Ensuring team goals were inclusive of a holistic approach to address any barriers to social determinants of health.

-Collected demographic data on google analytics that represents the visibility of the Health Literacy database site.-Arranged for participants to perform the study procedures, including scheduling, assuring appropriate tools are available.-Independently established and maintained database files and reports using SPSS and Microsoft Excel.-Lead recruitment of study participants by working with community partners.-Conduct reviews of scientific literature and track/submit Internal Review Board (IRB) amendments for ongoing and new studies.-Created visual representations of data collected to better interpret overall findings.-Taught 3 collegiate level courses to undergraduate student classes of approximately 15-20 students.-Cultivated literature reviews and peer reviewed articles for faculty on topics including health literacy and addictive behaviors.-Assessed time spent in greenspaces and the perceived stressors amongst high school youth for graduate level thesis. -Surveyed about 120 high school student’s mental health and its association with academic performance as it relates to the time spent in outdoor greenspaces.

-Entering data and reaching out to participants to aid in survey clarification and completion. -Organizing and assisting principle investigators in a federal grant from the Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive Program.

-Enhancing the efficiency of the building by regulating students to advisors and directing students to other departments within the University.-Referring students to resources that can further assist with any questions or concerns that they may have.

-Establishing relationships with foreign language students in order to help them practice English skills.-Monitoring students’ academic progress and providing feedback.

-Investigated a group of 10 high school students on the barriers to healthy eating and physical activity in the Hispanic adolescent population.-Designed a healthy eating and physical activity regiment that equates to the high school student’s needs. -Presented our service learning findings to the Behavioral Health and Nutrition department at the University of Delaware summer Symposium.
