 Took part in multiple EFL courses and YL courses at the 5th CISP Colloquium. Taught all age groups and levels of proficiency. Assessed and evaluated prospect students’ knowledge of the language based on the CEFR. Planned, prepared and adapted all classes in order to cater for students’ needs taking into account group’s profile (maximum of 20 students), using the communicative approach and guided discovery techniques in order to provide the learners with multiple opportunities for meaningful and contextualized use of the language, scaffolding the learning process and fostering their autonomy. Used a plethora of activities with YL related to music, collage, dance, games, role-play and storytelling to make learning fun and memorable in all stages of the lessons trying to incorporate total physical response whenever possible, as well as activities aimed at developing other crucial skills such as categorizing, problem solving, communication and social skills among others.  Worked with YL’s parents throughout the semester trying to teach them how to help their children in the process of learning a second language in an effective and light manner, aligning their expectations with what the kids were actually able to perform at that age and showing them how to check on their kids’ progress without demaning too much from them or making them uncomfortable. The parents play a very important role in a child’s school life, therefore it is very important to provide them with the information they need to correctly guide their children through this process.

 Planned, prepared and adapted all classes to specific learners’ needs, mostly in small groups (3 to 4 students) or one-to-one (business English, adults and kids with learning disabilities). Teaching students with special needs and working with their families as to maximize their learning and help provide them with better classroom experience.
