Key responsibility involves managing Aiken Digital's key account and other client accounts with various projects on both regional and global levels. Bringing with me the experience gained from previous Marketing roles and marrying this with the knowledge acquired from Polytechnic and University, I stepped out of my comfort zone and embarked on a new career path at Fixx Digital.Here, my responsibilities were primarily prospecting, qualifying leads, selling to prospects, and then building relationships with our clients. Joining the company as a Fresh Graduate from University, I was quick to learn the ropes of retail marketing.Responsibilities included the planning of in-store marketing activities and promotions, execution of marketing events such as shopping mall atrium setups, space planning and managing monthly sales of products to departmental store retail buyers such as Mustafa and BigBox, and speaking to other prospect retail buyers such as clinics, pharmacies and hospitals.Beyond that, I managed all sales channels within the digital space, including Groupon and Lazada. I also oversaw the revamp of the existing website and birth of the brand's very first eCommerce store, from design conceptualization right through to planning of online promotions and managing sales.

Following the end of my contract with Food Republic, my performance was commended and I was recommended to join the Din Tai Fung Marketing and Brand Development team. As an increasingly popular name in the industry, the pace of day-to-day operations was much faster. With this role, I helped with the writing of media content, press releases, web content, conceptualization to executions for marketing campaigns and collateral, managed designers for the campaign and in-store artwork, visual merchandising, handling customer feedback, complaints, enquiries, service recovery, and helped manage front-line kitchen and service staff.

While awaiting enrollment in University, I wanted to make good use of the time and took the opportunity to join one of the biggest and most prominent names in Singapore's local F&B scene, to begin learning the ropes of real-world consumer marketing. Although short, the 3-month contract with Food Republic brought along exposure to managing multiple teams, marketing to consumers, and managing customer feedback and complaints. As part of this stint, I worked closely with our PR agency to compose press releases, wrote media copy and web content, and conceptualize ideas for marketing campaigns and collateral.I also played a part in the outlet opening at 313@ Somerset, got involved in brand development, engaged suppliers, handled customer feedback, complaints, enquiries and service recovery, and assisted with other administrative work such as setting up meetings and organizing the company's AGM.

In between graduation from College and University, the short stint at Westinghouse kept me busy and though short, added to my exposure to working in an international environment. An invaluable internship experience with a distinguished multinational company, as part of my 3-year study at Temasek Polytechnic. During this internship, I worked under the supervision of the Marketing Manager (Asia Pacific) under the Fragrances arm of the company. I had the opportunity to experience first-hand the day-to-day operations within the marketing team, which included conducting market research and preparation of marketing and campaign presentations for the Account Managers of clients such as Procter & Gamble. As part of these presentations, I was required to conceptualize and come up with ideas for new product innovations based on market trends. On top of that, I also helped to organize, plan, prepare and sit in for corporate meetings and international conference calls.
