Varun Bhagwan is an accomplished Technology & Product executive with 20+ years of experience at the intersection of business, product and technology. Prior to the formation of Verizon Media, Varun held several leadership roles at Yahoo! focused on Data, Measurement & Insights. He was also responsible for creating the Mail Data Monetization portfolio in a privacy-first manner at Yahoo!. In another life, Varun also spent 12+ years at IBM Research, building any number of fun things. Varun has invented or co-invented roughly 50 patents, is a Yahoo! Master Inventor, holds numerous honors & awards including Verizon’s top honor of the Verizon Credo Award. He has authored more than 15 publications in top tier conferences and journals. Varun is also a frequent speaker at industry events and represents the company at events such as CES, IAB ALM, Cannes Lions etc, and was on the board of the IAB Tech Lab.
