Varun Bhagwan is an accomplished Technology & Product executive with 20+ years of experience at the intersection of business, product and technology. He is currently advising startups, investing as an LP and through Private Equity deals, while working on new ideas. Prior to this, Varun was spearheading Product Management for all Data & AIML products within JPMorgan's Commercial Bank as an MD, while also serving as Chair of the Patent Council for the Commercial Bank. He joined JPMorgan from Verizon Media/Yahoo!, where he served as Vice President of Product Management & Engineering, responsible for all Advertising Data Products - Targeting & Identity, Insights & Measurement, Trust & Safety. Prior to the formation of Verizon Media, Varun held several leadership roles at Yahoo! focused on Data, Measurement & Insights. He was also responsible for creating the Mail Data Monetization portfolio in a privacy-first manner at Yahoo!. In another life, Varun also spent 12+ years at IBM Research, building any number of fun things. Varun has invented or co-invented roughly 50 patents, is a Yahoo! Master Inventor, holds numerous honors & awards including Verizon’s top honor of the Verizon Credo Award. He has authored more than 15 publications in top tier conferences and journals. Varun is also a frequent speaker at industry events and represents the company at events such as CES, IAB ALM, Cannes Lions etc, and was on the board of the IAB Tech Lab.
