PT BIOVicki Baker Hitchcock is a Physical Therapist and an internationally recognized Equestrian. Vicki achieved her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was immediately hired by rival Duke University where she worked for several years in an outpatient sports therapy clinic before returning to her home state of Colorado. There she became the Therapy Director for Innovative Senior Care, the leading provider of outpatient and home health physical therapy for seniors in the US. Recently, Vicki has been providing physical therapy for Physical Therapy Doctors in Berthoud. Vicki has extensive training in women’s health and pelvic rehabilitation, chronic pain management. She has several years of experience performing trigger point dry needling, a cutting edge technique providing immediate pain relief and often quicker recovery times to many people suffering from acute or chronic injuries. Combining her schooling and passion of Physical Therapy with her extensive knowledge of horse sports and rider and horse development makes her the ideal therapist to help riders return to the saddle after injuries or strokes or to simply improve their riding through strengthening and balancing their bodies. “Physical ailments in the rider can cause multiple issues in the horse’s performance.
