Vicki C. Wright is an experienced art museum curator and administrator. At the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, she was the director of collections and exhibitions from 2008 until 2016. She served for the previous 22 years as director of the Museum of Art at the University of New Hampshire.She studied at Ohio Wesleyan University (B.F.A, magna cum laude,1977) and Arizona State University (M.A. in art history, 1986). She was a participant in the Getty Leadership Museum Management Institute (MMI) in 1997 and served for nine years on the National Board of Advisors of the Richard M. Ross Art Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University (president from 2009 to 2012). She served on the Board of Directors of the Presque Isle Township Museum Society from 2017-2021 (president, 2020-2021).She has served as curator and/or project coordinator for over 40 exhibitions. In Kalamazoo, she organized three significant exhibitions: "Through the Photographer’s Lens: O’Keeffe and Her Circle" (organized as a companion to the exhibition, 'Georgia O’Keeffe and Her Times,' which featured American modernist paintings from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in 2009); "The Wyeths: America’s Artists" (a 2011 exhibition featuring 90 works by three generations of the Wyeth family); and "Tiffany Jewels" (a 2014 exhibition of early-20th-century art jewelry designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany and borrowed from public and private collections).
