As the ELC Workforce Planning Manager, I support the Scottish Government, Local Authorities, and their partners in delivering high-quality, sustainable Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) services across Scotland. My role bridges national policy and local service delivery, providing strategic and operational workforce planning expertise. I offer critical advice on workforce requirements, recruitment, and retention, helping councils develop long-term workforce plans to address sustainability and future demand.I engage with local authorities to improve workforce practices, analyse workforce data, and facilitate the development of effective workforce strategies. I also contribute to national groups, share knowledge across local authorities, and support the ELC sector by organising events and sharing best practices. My work ensures that ELC services are well-equipped to meet the needs of communities now and in the future.
