As Office Manager for the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin, I was the first point of contact for many members, parents or business partners. Customer service was an important part of my daily routine.Effectively prioritizing other responsibilities such as accounts payable, payroll, credit card reconciliation, gift processing and entry, and general donor database management for the organization’s $1.3 million budget was a critical part of the organization's success. As with any nonprofit, fundraising events were an important part of our Development strategy. I enjoyed assisting in the planning process and general support for our Annual Dinner and Golf Outings.

Managed the day-to-day operations of Channing Elementary School's activity funds. Performed general administrative duties including composing & preparing correspondence and special reports, routing incoming mail, greeting visitors, answering telephones, copying and filing. Participated in the development of a reading tutor program to serve children at high risk of failure in reading. Trained and managed two other tutors.

Participated as a key member of multi-state task force in all stages of the search for and conversion to a new commercial loan system, from the Requirements Definition through the Request for Proposal, Vendor Site Visits, and Implementation. Acted as liaison between the business community and IT to facilitate implementation of strategic projects.
