The firm offered the largest free searchable database of online degrees, the majority nonprofit universities.Consumer Advocacy: GetEducated.com was the first and only site to bar advertising from fake universities and work to protect consumers from diploma mills through its free Diploma Mill Police (TM) service. The site offered an editorially independent free online degree comparison tool which helped bring transparency to the online college election process by allowing consumers to select and compare online degrees along 16 editorially independent brand dimensions ranging from cost to accreditation status.
