Security functions:• Conducting X-ray screening of check in baggage and conducting Secondary ladder point check of hand baggage and passenger with DFMD and HHMD• Responsible for passenger document verification and to ensure that passengers are in possession of valid tickets and travel documentation for their intended destination and profiling them to categorise into threatening or non threatening• Provide access control at the door of the aircraft. Log all service personnel in journal• Ensure the safety of the aircraft, passengers and employees by carrying out Security Search of the aircraft as mandated by the ICAO standards• Conduct surveillance of baggage make up area and to ensure that no baggage or contents are stolen / pilfered from the airline as well as ensuring that only baggage authorized for that flight is loaded• Provide security for catering service by conducting search, sealing and escort Catering Carts and equipment in accordance with BCAS regulation and thereby ensuring no prohibited items are introduced onto carrier’s aircraft during caterer servicing.Reservations and ticketing:• Making reservations across the counter (navitare,flight speed)• Selling of tickets.• Remitting cash to the concerned department.• Answering customer queries over the telephone.Departures:• Attend the pre-flight and post flight briefings.• Setting up of check in counters.• Maintain high quality of check in procedures.• To assist customers with special requests.Arrivals:• To assist customers with special requests.• To assist customers with Mishandled/damaged baggage.
