The Indiana University Men's Tennis Team is a Division 1 NCAA college sports team and part of the BIG 10 conference which travels and competes nationwide with nationally ranked collegiate tennis teams. -Started in the singles lineup as one of the few freshmen and through the use of tennis skills helped lead the team to a national ranking of 35 with an 11-5 cumulative singles record.-Encouraged team members to keep up with academics while on the road by offering help in areas of expertise such as Excel and Access, which helped the team earn an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Academic Honor given only to teams that boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. - Earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete Honor for maintaining a grade point average of 3.50 or above for the 2019 academic year. -Awarded the Herbert Cup, given to the IU Athletics team with the highest average team GPA in a semester, for posting a combined team GPA of 3.6 in the spring semester.

During the summer of 2019, I had the privilege of working as a coach at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy, a nationally recognized tennis academy led by former world number one and two-time grand slam champion, Stan Smith. As a coach, I was responsible for leading both morning and afternoon academy sessions (from 8-10 am and 2-4:15 pm, Monday through Friday, and 8-10 am on Saturdays) alongside other coaches. In each session, I worked with approximately 6-8 students to enhance their tennis skills and decision-making abilities.Here are my accomplishments during my time at the academy:• Provided guidance to over 50 students, working collaboratively with my colleagues to provide meaningful analysis that improved the students' on-court performance.• Collaborated with fellow coaches to plan daily schedules for the students, improving program efficiency.• Guided students of diverse ages (ranging from 8 to 18 years old) to develop a comprehensive understanding of tennis, which helped them make better decisions on the court.• Created individual lesson plans that supported the personal goals of each athlete.• Participated in team meetings to discuss player development and coaching philosophies, which helped improve overall academy operations.• Implemented new training techniques used by professional players on the circuit to pique student interest and enhance their skills.
