Working as an employment advisor, I have been responsible for helping people with health conditions, disabilities and complex barriers to work to prepare and return to employment. I have work to build rapport with candidates, understand their situation, skills and aims in order to identify barriers and action plan with them their journey back to work. I deliver one to one development to help build soft skills such as travel planning and confidence as well as employment focused skills such as CV building, vacancy searching and interview skills. I also deliver group development to people with learning disabilities and mental health issues to help them increase confidence, communication and self esteem as well as helping them to understand the jobs market and how to achieve what their aims. I am responsible for running the branches Twitter Account and helping to organize events in the branch.
