RSM McGladrey is the 5th largest CPA firm globally and after consistently billing 600K+ per year and ranking as the firm’s top producer in my first 2 years, out of 40+ offices, I was tasked to open a new branch office in McLean, Virginia. The branch specialized in senior level executive placements for RSM McGladrey, their clients and a host of firms in all industries in the VA, MD and DC markets. I managed a staff of permanent and consulting recruiters and the sales and marketing efforts associated with a start up office. The office thrived and my individual contributions continued to rank among the highest nationally within the firm.

Hired to manage the entire day to day operations of this established, yet struggling accounting, finance and administrative recruiting firm which had a concentration of government contracting, public accounting and non-profit clients. I was tasked to reinvent the business and sales models for both the permanent and temporary divisions by concentrating on new business development and advertising efforts in the Washington DC area. Within one year I managed to restructure the entire business model and staff which resulted in a 300% increase in sales in year two. While managing the operations, I was also responsible for running my own full time permanent desk with consistent billings of 600K+ per year.

Their interest in me was my ability to clean up and turn around their ailing accounting and finance infrastructure and turn a cash poor environment into a cash rich one. After bringing in my own team, sixteen months later the firm attained the accounting and finance consistency required to achieve a successful sale to Wang Laboratories in 1996.
