As the Procurement Manager, ensured timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services including machines with latest technologies to meet the needs of Awal Group projects. The specific responsibilities include strategic sourcing, approving purchase requisitions and purchase orders, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and finding ways to drive savings.It is a challenging position, since the type of materials is different from plant to plant. It is also a highly responsible task to ensure the quality materials on timely manner while considering the production demand on each plant and project.

 Responsibilities includes locating key suppliers, negotiating the company's purchase agreements and making sure the materials and products meet the company's specifications / standards.

 Responsible for working closely with the suppliers and managing the company’s procurement activities & supplier relationship  Provided leadership for the purchase department, motivating staff to achieve the maximum performance and efficiency.  Sourcing the most affordable materials for the Companies manufacturing process. Co-ordination & timely follow-up with Supplier, Forwarding & Clearing Agent, Bank, etc. from the origin up to the arrival at the Factory/Warehouse. Forecasting the requirements in coordination with the concerned departments and plotting the order on considering the lead time & financial position. Direct coordination with all the certification bodies and laboratories to upgrade and maintain the records of conducted / new test, periodical inspection / audits & certificates. Responsible for METALCO’s FSC / COC certification program and aware of all the aspects in this regards including LEED.
