I was appointed as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and responsible for commercial activities related to the project, of the total cost of QAR 864 mn.Duties and Responsibilities:• Preparing the Main Contractor’s Interim payment application, variation, claims, and new rate submission to the client.• Provide an updated weekly report on the outstanding variation orders and claims status to the commercial director.• Collecting/recording event details from the site to establish variation, claims, and EOT.• Preparing forecast based on latest drawing and comparing with contract budget and deviation reporting to the Project Manager.• Preparation of commercial correspondences along with contractor administrator.• Preparation of BoQ, the scope of work, and responsible matrix for sub-contract procurement.• Assist with subcontractor payment certificate, variation, claims including assessing the Final account and issuing TOC.• Attending meetings and liaising with a subcontractor on commercial matters.

Key AchievementsI was appointed as a one of station Quantity Surveyor, and quickly moved as aSenior Station QS, responsible for one of the 10 stations of the project, of the total cost of $60million (QAR 218 million).Responsibilities• Responsible for managing all station costs from pitch to completion;• Preparation Earned Value and Forecast at complete;• Monitoring and Controlling the cost of site resources within forecasted budget;• Attend monthly internal financial control meetings, reporting to the project director;• Preparing the Bill of Quantity, Scope of work, and responsible Matrix for subcontract works;• Establishing with sub Contractor’s initial submission of required documents before commencement of works and make preliminary arrangements, such as schedule of progress claims and mode of submission; • Preparation of Variation orders and Work Orders;• Attending meetings and liaising with subcontractors on commercial matters;• Inspecting, valuing completed work, and issuing Payment Certificate to the subcontractor;• Collecting / recording event details from site to establish variations / contra charges etc;• Assessing the Final account and issuing TOC;• Preparation and submission of Payment Milestone to Client;• Assessment of Claims, Extension of Time and Variation;

Key AchievementsI was able to acquire a very good knowledge in Pre Contract stage and understanding of various code of measurements, I was involved wide range of sectors like Infrastructure,Residential and commercial projects.
