Systems Administrator
CurrentPerform routine system administration tasks, such as server and system patching, software installations, and configuration management for workstations and servers.Administer and support user management, group policies, and domain services.Handle IT support requests, ensuring every request and incident is correctly recorded, prioritized, and progressed – and clients are kept advised of status. Take ownership and proactively resolve or escalate any IT support incidents, including but not limited to desktop support, support for printers and other devices, and password resets.Undertake user account maintenance in AD and functional applications such as LabelTraxx, Sage, and PRISM.Engage with and organize vendor support and third-party contractors where appropriate.Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure using VMware technologies, and Windows and Mac computers.Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and VPN connectivity.Provide the necessary information flow to allow reporting of IT incidents and trends to the IT Manager.Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are maintained.Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, including inventories of issued equipment and system access rights.
