In a nutshell, this role's purpose is to create, develop and maintain the Cable Tester System and Laser Engraver in addition to the previous responsibility, manufacturing of a range of professional cables.Key responsibilities and duties: - maintain and fault find current profiles - debug failing cables - create new test profiles as required - assisting Technical Department in specifying new testing equipment, learning new components and keeping reference databases up to date - liaise with Technical Department on all issues and resolutions - set up engraving of pre-existing components - ensure calibration is continually maintained - set up new versions of engraved components as and when required - maintain "golden samples" of all engraved samples used in manufacturing - maintain datasheets for reference - liaise with Technical Department setting up new components for the first time - supporting Manufacturing Department by having a degree of flexible working - self-directed learning required to gain further experience and necessary knowledge - provide a safe working environment - ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
