Working for the Village of Weston, since March, 2000, I have gained a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a local government. Over the past several years I have become more involved in environmental and sustainability practices. This consists of managing the Village of Weston's private well program; educating the public on the benefits of using rain barrels and/or rain gardens to better protect our lakes and rivers from storm water run off and to lessen the amount of ground water pumped, by instead harvesting rainwater; educating the public on solid waste reduction/recycling practices through an effective recycling program; and assisting the Planning & Development Director in implementing a successful zoning code, which will overall protect the citizens of the Village of Weston by ensuring their quality of life.
