Representative experience includes: • acquisition and redevelopment of a sewing factory holding real estate assets in the center of Kyiv, including numerous litigations and lengthy settlement negotiations with the local owners; • tax planning, legal analysis and initial documentation for an on-going project to redevelop state assets into Ukraine’s most efficient electricity generator, including to respond to extensive questioning and due diligence requests by the EBRD; • “green-fields” factory development by a multinational company in the FMCG sector;• proposed acquisition by a strategic investor of a Ukrainian subsidiary of the German juice manufacturer;• privatizations of regional electricity distribution companies;• a major oil and gas joint venture between a UK based firm and a large Ukrainian state company; • removal of over $15 million of tax fines imposed on an oil and gas company; • acquisition in central Kyiv for a multinational investor of a large building that is subject to special restrictions because of its location; • numerous public offering in the west to raise money for Ukrainian projects, including extensive due diligence and legal opinions for each;• assistance with enforcement proceedings in Canada and Belgium to secure the release of the arrested aircrafts belonging to one of the Ukraine’s state enterprises; • developing employee share option plans for a number of Ukrainian subsidiaries of major multinationals.
