Bachelors Degree from Lancaster University in Physical Geography. Focus of degree was atmospheric science with regards to NOx pollution predictions from newly built road systems. I worked as a manager at Lows Traditional from 2014 onwards and as a team member prior to 2014. Management of Lows Traditional included training of staff, managing and overseeing operations of a busy shop, handling large amounts of money from sales, ordering stock, dealing with suppliers, website design, dealing with any complaints, creating allergen information, leasing with environmental health, winning awards for the shop eg. NFFF Quality Award, coming in the top 10 Young Fish Frier of the Year Competition held by Drywite & NFFF, bringing the shop into the Top 5 in Scotland in Fish and Chip Shop of the Year.Current position is as a company director for Walker and Lows Ltd. This is a new business venture to open another shop in the Lows Traditional name. Skills acquired have been through meetings and lengthy discussions with solicitors, meeting with chartered surveyors, negotiating lease agreements, meeting and liaising with architects, making applications for planning permission for changes of use, meeting and liaising with environmental health, proofing noise and odour impact assessments.
