Support Sunrise’s Advocacy Director in advancing our work with partners, members of Congress, and the White House to strengthen the broader Green New Deal & progressive movement and translate our people power into meaningful policy change. Work to communicate our advocacy positions and strategy with staff, the movement, and the press in accessible and creative ways.

Coordinate political campaigning, particularly around rapid response and legislative moments and priorities, and supporting organizational partners. Respond to and intervene around key political and legislative movements. Work with others in the political & partnerships division to determine what policies, bills, and partner campaigns we support and sign on to, and work with our communications team to represent our positions to the public and press.Maintain and building new relationships with other collaborators and representing the organization in key partners and coalition spaces. Help the division to deepen relationships and collaboration with other groups that share our values and mobilize together around shared policy priorities and in other key moments.Movement coordination & communication: communicate political & partner updates and strategy to hub leaders and the Movement Support Team through internal movement coordination channels and 1:1s with key leaders and staff. Support on creating and leading trainings on P&P strategy and skills.
