I am one of 19 National Ambassadors for ΣΑΕ, selected via a rigorous application process from 11,000 ΣΑΕ undergraduates across the country. National Ambassadors are undergraduates who uphold the highest standards of friendship, scholarship and service, and represent the fraternity in a front-facing role. National Ambassadors also provide guidance and support to over 11,000 collegiate members across 200+ chapters, and participate in year-long service projects aimed at improving the fraternity nationwide.

In Spring 2024, I earned a $4,500 "Agricola" summer research grant. "Agricola" grants are only given for the most competitive summer research proposals. This research project examined the environmental history of Wallace Falls State Park in Snohomish County, Washington. I specifically looked at the area's intersecting histories from 1800-2024, including Indigenous displacement, commercial logging, real estate developments, the evolution of the state park, and search-and-rescue missions. Hundreds of sources included non-digitized archival materials, newspaper archives, and oral history interviews. My research culminated in a 70-page paper, "Death In The Pines: Business, Bureaucracy, and Power at Wallace Falls, Washington, 1800-2024," representing the first scholarly historical analysis of Wallace Falls and its surrounding area.

In Spring 2023, I earned a $4,000 grant to study Taiwanese third-party politics alongside Dr. Jennifer Neighbors, a faculty expert on East Asian History. My research focused on the rise of political third parties in Taiwan since 2014, particularly the Taiwan People's Party (TPP), led by former Taipei mayor Ko Wen-je. My research methods focused on dissecting dozens of news articles from across the Indo-Pacific.In addition to presenting my findings at an on-campus conference, I authored a thesis-length report, now published through the University's "Sound Ideas" repository.
