 Deployed November 2011-June 2012, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit Attached to the Maritime Raid Force (MRF), a small scale strike anti-pirate team Trained and operated alongside Force Recon and Special Forces. Responsible for ensuring my team, three (3) Marines and myself, be ready and mission capable at all times to carry out missions against maritime objectives including gas and oil platforms, ships, and ports. Lead and controlled a M240B Machine Gun Team for land based training and operations. Responsible for ensuring my Marines and myself had structural and tactical knowledge of operating within and on several maritime vessels. Ensured my team met physical fitness readiness status. Trained foreign country militaries in maritime tactics. Operated within naval vessels, helicopters and hull inflatable boats. Maintained accountability of my team’s weapons, equipment and any sensitive items.  Lead a team in completing maritime special operations training. Deployed April 2010-November 2010, Helmand Province Afghanistan. Conducted over 200 successful foot patrol missions and over 100 motorcade/convoy escort operations. Responsible for seeking out threats and neutralizing them. Filled multiple roles to include; Point Man, Designated Marksman, Saw-gunner, Team Leader and Squad Leader. Responsible for the security of a patrol base for more than 12 Marines and 10 Afghanistan Police. Provided protective details for officers and media reports. Performing and supervising static guard services. Maintained accountability of all weapons, equipment and sensitive items. Experience in building clearing and tactical raids. Experience in apprehending and handlings of detainees. Daily interactions with the locals. Responsible for providing cover fire to allow my team and squad to complete the mission. Selected by squad leader to ensure my peers meet the unit physical fitness readiness status.
