Lead on PR and manage the press office at the NGO, raising awareness of its global movement to make orphanages history. With oversight across its operations in London, Brussels, Kyiv, Bucharest, Sofia, Chisinau, Kolkata, Katmandu, Kigali, Nairobi and Johannesburg, I manage the full spectrum of PR - from strategy to delivery - for campaigns, fundraising initiatives and policy drives.o Delivered the ‘Ukraine Orphanage Crisis’ campaign, following the Russian invasion. Blanket coverage (from front pages of the Daily Mirror to live interviews with BBC News) raised an additional £5 million in income (half the NGO’s annual projected income), attracted 2k new donors, increased website visitors by 300% and social media followers by 155%. Coverage led to the safe evacuation of thousands of children from war-ravaged orphanages. Also sparked a debate on the dangers of orphanages, influencing the First Lady of Ukraine to pledge to abolish the country’s 700 state-run orphanages, returning 100,000 children to families.o Devised and rolled out a crisis comms strategy across a complex organisation. Includes horizon scanning, liaising with stakeholders across the organisation and advising the CEO and executive board members on sensitive issues.o Led on PR for the award-winning End the Silence campaign in partnership with YouTube and the UK Government, bringing together iconic musicians (from Sir Elton John to Ed Sheeran), raising £5million and reaching an audience of 500 million.o Oversaw media and talent for the ‘End the Silence’ galas at Abbey Road Studios, bringing together the world of F1 and music, while raising £2.4m.o Managed overseas media visits in Africa, Asia and Europe, creating hard-hitting coverage with multiple journalists, from the BBC to C4, and the Guardian to the Spectator.o Developed a Global Ambassador strategy, to forge new high-profile supporter relationships.o Part of the team that delivered a rebrand across 9 countries.

Part of London-based PR Team consistently voted the number one press office in the charity sector by journalists. Responsible for promoting and protecting the organisation’s reputation on a proactive and reactive basis in print, broadcast and online media, from writing press releases to preparing media statements, and creating multi-channelled campaigns to managing media stunts. I worked on a wide variety of projects covering healthcare, events, corporate partnerships, online innovations, retail and crisis comms.o Ran a broad range of media campaigns, from health awareness (e.g. the skin cancer prevention campaign SunSmart), to fundraising (e.g. Race for Life, which reached half the UK adult population).o Oversaw PR for its annual political and sporting themed Turn the Tables fundraisers, hosting media tables with broadsheet political commentators, and securing pre and post media coverage with participants e.g. from George Osborne to Jeremy Paxman, and Gary Lineker to Lord Seb Coe.o Oversaw PR for the Bobby Moore Fund, raising awareness of bowel cancer. I worked with partners such as Wembley, West Ham United FC and the England Football Team.o Travelled to Brazil for the Fund’s international project, producing and filming a promotional video, securing celebrity participants and media partnerships with outlets such at Daily Mirror and FourFourTwo.o Created and managed large public-facing communications plans, from launching the first third sector legacies media drive, to delivering nationwide appeals for the charity’s 600 high street shops. This included organising media stunts from conception to implementation.o Part of the team that secured media coverage for major corporate partnerships such as Tesco, TK Maxx and HSBC.o Daily monitoring of the media landscape, ensuring CRUK was well positioned to react to breaking news (from preparing and distributing obituaries for high profile supporters, to writing media statements to tight deadlines).

Covering news and features for every national tabloid and broadsheet newspaper in the UK.• Reporting on hard-hitting stories, from high-profile murders to scientific breakthroughs, and natural disasters, to undercover exclusives. • Interviewees ranged from former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, to King Charles III.
