Wayne is a highly accomplished, second-generation utility engineer and energy industry consultant. His impressive career within the energy and utility industry spans more than four decades in every operational area and at all management levels. Wayne’s senior executive positions include Puget Sound Energy (PSE), the Sunlaw Energy Corporation, the El Paso Merchant Energy Company, and the Southern California Edison Company. His career includes navigating unprecedented challenges; Wayne led an independent power company through the California Energy Crisis; Managed over 400 (5,000 MW) of third-party power producer contracts ($2-3 Billion/year); and Negotiated multi-year major agreements for Canadian natural gas supply and transportation, domestic coal supply, nuclear project ownership, and inter-utility power purchase agreements.Immediately prior to establishing his consulting practice, Wayne managed PSE’s Service Provider, Thermal Generation, Natural Gas Resources, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Contracting, Contractor Management, Facilities, Fleet, Internal Audit, Privacy, and Ethics & Compliance organizations.Wayne is currently affiliated with Continuum Capital where he is responsible for providing practical advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of strategic initiatives. His specialty is helping clients navigate complex strategy and organizational issues with a focus on achieving their strategic objectives.Wayne’s experience includes multiple instances of industry service and support including Board leadership with the Northwest Gas Association (NWGA), the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) Technology Transfer, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL) Enterprise Growth Forum.Wayne earned concurrent Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University and is a professionally registered engineer.
