Loan Executive from New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs assigned to Central Jersey to work with Faith-Based Organizations in the development of economic development initiatives that covered both Middlesex and Somerset Counties. These activities involved entrepreneurial development, job training, housing development, and commercial development

Supervised the assessment of community needs in relation to local Community Action Programs (CAP). Supervised the delivery of technical assistance to staff of local agencies to facilitate implementation of community programs; supervised the analyzing of programs, reviewing grant proposals and reports submitted by community groups providing services under contract with DCA to ensure compliance under Federal and State funding guidelines and regulations. Served as liaison between the Department and Community Action Programs.

Conducted field surveys to document physical plant conditions of psychiatric hospitals, development centers, veteran's homes, and other types of facilities. Information obtained through these surveys was incorporated into budget requests, planning reports, studies, and reference materials.

Performed all supervisory functions including direct supervision of a staff of four. Supervised the billing of commercial loans, pricing of collateral, and maintenance of essential records and files. Interviewed applicants for mortgage, small business, installment and demand loans.

Supervised the delivery of technical assistance to low-income residents of New Jersey. Made contacts with community groups, governmental agencies, and private individuals. Coordinated workshops with staff which facilitated the delivery of information regarding the impact of census date on low-income residents.
