A member of the regional leadership team with the specific responsibility to assist local partner organizations in building their internal capacity to nurture local vision and manage efforts that address felt needs of the community, which are related to their language, culture and identity. One component of this role includes the development of specialists and consultants in various domains of language and culture revitalization, such as literacy, sociolinguistics, translation and others.

Chiang Mai

Faculty member in the MA Linguistics Program. Developed and taught an advance course about Language Development Methods, which explored key issues affecting how language programs are managed and stakeholders are engaged. I also collaborated with two local partner organizations to develop a certificate program in Identity-Based Community Development. The first certificate being offered under the IBCD umbrella focused on project management, designed to equip community-based organizations with the competence needed to better manage their programs and resources.

Founding director. Oversaw the development of its purpose, vision, training program and organizational structures as well as its indigenous leadership that emerged through this process and who have since assumed the organization's primary training and administrative roles and responsibilities.
