My involvement with the MSME community began when I started my career with Singapore Yellow Pages. There I started the SMI Business Directory with the SMI Association of Malaysia in 2001 and ever since, I have been deeply involved in the business of MSMEs. I founded the MALAYSIA SME® media group in 2005 and subsequently conceptualised the MALAYSIA SME® media brand. Within 3 years I propelled the group from being the publisher of a single SME directory to becoming an established SME media corporation in Malaysia.In early 2023, I launched MALAYSIA SME+, an AI-powered digital video MSME news platform with Avatar as news reporters. In the course of my business endeavours, I have always kept abreast and connected to the MSME community; along which, I have acquired in-depth understanding of their trends and challenges. I regularly champions for MSMEs to be recognised and assisted on a same level of playing field with large corporations. On September 9, 2017, I launched KONGSI, a Fintech set-up that helps to improve micro businesses’ cash flow. Based on sharing economy concept, KONGSI platform issues KONGSI Token as alternative trade currency for micro businesses. KONGSI Token is back by products and services produce by the business community. Leveraging on the experience I acquired through the Kongsi application and system development, I have developed a targeted subsidies solution and system that the government can use to implement the targeted subsidies programme. Prior to Malaysia 15th General Election, I released a citizen journalist news application on Apple and Google Playstore. Known as CJOP, the mobile application empowers and enables everyone and anyone to act as citizen journalist when a major event happens in front of them. I am well connected with the advertising, public relation (PR) industries and understands what is required to create an impactful PR exercise. When I am not ‘thinking’ and 'breathing' MSMEs, I am passionately engrossed in the game of football and golf.I am an avid football fan and an active social golfer, a FAM certified football coach and also a professional golf coach certified by UTM.
