Main Responsibilities: Develop short­ term, mid-term and long-term strategies for the improvement of oil production by well- completion activities including EOR and IOR technologies to optimize company’s financial goals Develop and execute a new well construction and completion basis of design to improve production efficiency (mitigate inflow and control of sand production, water and gas production) and maximize productivity Analysis of the efficiency of applied methods and technologies for primary penetration into productive intervals during well drilling to reduce/eliminate formation damage, including drilling performance evaluation Selection of methods and technologies to ensure maximum productivity of wells during primary production and after well intervention. Optimization of Capex and Opex through the development and execution of Programs and Work Plans with respect to well completion after drilling in accordance with HSE requirements.Significant Achievements:  Defined the completion goals and strategy for the period 2017-2021 Developed and introduced a “Well Completions Best Practice Manual” into the operations, and a new Basis of Design (BOD) for well completions in extra heavy oil reservoirs Re-engineered a production enhancement project to reactivate idle and underperforming wells utilizing existing new and innovative technology on a turnkey basis with a service provider, using a pay-for-performance business model Leader of joint team (company and service provider) that conceptualized and successfully executed a 10-well pilot project to test the world’s first 4-phase flowmeter for extra heavy oil, measuring oil, gas, water, and diluent.

Venezuela

Project objective: Deliver the Perla Field onto production with a 1200 MMSCFD target, and manage the implementation of offshore development, completion, and wireline activities, in accordance with approved programs, procedures, and practices. Main Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all drilling and completion-related contractor performance to ensure productivity and standards align with company objectives  Optimize operating cost through best completion practices, sound engineering, effective management of human resources, balanced with the safeguarding of property, personnel, and the environment  Subject Matter Expert for all operational problems, new well completions, production enhancement, well-testing activities and program implementation Supervised preparation of the scope of work and technical specifications to support tenders, and analyze tender submissions for evaluation and recommendations Significant Achievements:  Oversaw the successful installation of five tiebacks Streamlined completion activities on 5 wells, resulting in a cost reduction of $2.5MM per well (including rig time and operating cost), yielding approximately $12.5MM in savings. Leader of the study team that programmed and successfully stimulated the new wells to mitigate formation damage while drilling, resulting in an increase in initial production by roughly 40% more per well than originally simulated
