 Accountable for managing, supervising, and auditing the safety and environmental management plan in accordance with local country requirements, client Safety specifications and company requirements. Direct the implementation, creation and oversight of health and safety action plans on site to ensure all contractors comply with the site Safety requirements. Designed and implemented a Behavior Based Safety Program. Review and approve sub-contractor Safety Plans and Risk Assessments. Perform trend analysis and brief the Project Manager in regards to mitigation and control measures for negative trends. Conduct audits and inspections of sub-contractor Safety/Environmental Programs and work sites to ensure compliance with client and company requirements. Inspect and provide guidance for the storage/handling of hazardous materials/waste, the identification and labeling of hazardous materials/waste, and on hazardous materials classification/segregation. Conduct daily and weekly inspections of site. Prepare and submit Contractor Safety Performance Reports to Project Manager. Monitor contractor operations/programs (Working at Height, Confined Space, Crane Operations, etc.) for compliance and identify Non Conformances. Identify hazards and deficiencies on worksites and work with Contractor Safety and Program Management Personnel to ensure compliance through recommended courses of action to correct all Non Conformances Verify and monitor contractor training requirements Issue permits for High Risk Operations to include but not limited to Crane Operations, Excavation and Trenching, Working at Heights and Live Electrical Work. Develop and maintain Project HSSE Management System.  Support developing, implementing, and revising the Project HSE plan. Monitor compliance to HSE standards; include monitoring client HSE requirements; conduct scheduled field visits and inspections; recommend and follow through on corrective actions.

Oversaw the Medical Monitoring Program for assigned personnel. Provided 40-hour HAZWOPER, HAZWOPER Supervisor, and 8-hour annual refresher training to installation personnel. Conducted recycling procedures and documentation of all recyclable/reusable materials, environmental protection measures, and safety/storage inspections. Investigated accident/incidents/spills involving HAZMAT, took follow-up and corrective actions for deficiencies noted, and completed documentation for the reutilization and reissue of hazardous materials. Managed seven sub-contracts for solid waste, grey and black water, and recycling.
