CurrentIn January 2015 I joined Menzies Aviation Group, based at London’s Gatwick Airport, where I am now a multi skilled airside Team leader responsible for1) Preparing and securing ramp for aircraft arrivals2) Ensuring all turnaround loading/unloading equipment and staff are available and in place.3) Dealing with power on arrival.4) Using portable Ground Power and Airstart units as/when required.5) Ensuring safe and accurate loading of aircraft within the aircraft type balance procedures.6) Completing all passenger & baggage reconciliation documentation prior to departure.7) “Headsetting” the aircraft out onto the designated taxiways on departure.8) Driving all types of “push back” vehicles to position the aircraft on Taxiways during departure.9) Push back experience on All types of Airbus, also Boeing 737,757,767, Embrear 175/195, also ATR Tubo props.10) Laising via radio with the cockpit and Control tower regarding push back authorisation, runway designations and taxiway positioning and routes for departure.11) joint project Leader on the pier 5 turnround project This is a collaboration between Menzies Aviation, GAL, and Easyjet to monitor/devise and implement new procedures with a view to improving the efficiency of aircraft turnaround times of the Eesyjet fleet being trialled on Peir 5 at London's Gatwick Airport 12) Flight/Shift Allocator for the Easyjet product based in the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport, utilising RSMS and Workbridge software systems. Allocating resources accordingly to ensure efficient and timely turnaround of Easyjet flights.
