As a valuable member of the team I provide ER services including emergency medical care in a professional, proactive manner and in accordance with Northparkes Mines scope of work and standard operating procedures. The role ensures that the site is maintained in a state of emergency response readiness and provides a safe environment for all users.

• Emergency ResponseLead and Coordinate a Team of Full time and Volunteers to:
• Respond to all emergency situations and assist in coordination of response activities.
• Provide leadership input to the development of Emergency Response training programs and assist in the delivery of training to emergency response volunteer personnel and fulltime Emergency Response Officers
• Coordinate preventative maintenance inspections of all on site emergency response equipment
• The continued development, implementation and maintenance of the emergency management competency profiles, policies and procedures
• Ensure Northparkes Mines remains in a state of preparedness for any likely emergency situation

• Job Function:
• Train, develop, assess and supervise Army personnel in all facets of emergency response and medical treatment
• Directly responsible for emergency response team of 30 fulltime personnel
• Liaise with management and staff regarding personnel recommendations and advice on policies and procedures
• Coordinate emergency response in the areas of aircraft crash rescue, fire fighting, domestic and industrial and high angle rescue
• Coordinate the safe handling, storage, control, spills and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials

• Lead a team of fire-fighters in all aspects of emergency response operations including, Structural and Bush fire fighting, Hazardous Materials and Decontamination incidents, Road Accident Rescue, Vertical Rescue.
• Supervise daily maintenance of vehicles and emergency equipment
• Conduct training to crew on all emergency response modules
• Oversee first aid and resuscitation procedures
• Ensure Emergency Response related procedures, registers and documentation are maintained
