Data Center Project Manager

Manage multiple project streams for external customer implementations into ConvergeOne's Cisco Cloud environment. PMO and C Level customer communications, with UCaaS focus.

Manage the transition of IT service(s) from single component to a complete client IT environment from the client or existing outsource provider to Dimension Data support with a focus on WAN, LAN and Universal Communication as a Service (UcaaS). ⦁ Plan, manage and execute the service transition process, manage risk and minimize potential failures according to standard and set methodologies ⦁ Establish and manage client relationships to ensure the successful provision of transition support within the agreed service levels. ⦁ Identify resource requirements and act as matrix manager by providing guidance and resolving resource related issues. ⦁ Contribute to the pre-sales process by identifying the client’s requirements and designing a feasible transition plan. ⦁ Establish positive relationships with the client stakeholders and engage with them on a regular basis.⦁ Plan and co-ordinate engagement sessions with the client and prepare for and facilitate these sessions. ⦁ Ensure that all parties remain informed throughout the process by developing and executing approved communication plan. ⦁ Identify and manage issues and risks⦁ Identify resource requirements for the transition project and negotiate and agree on the use of the resources. This may include setting up teams for account, contract and vendor/commercial management, as well as, identifying the resources required for execution of the transition. ⦁ Act as a matrix manager to the resources by providing guidance and resolving issues.

Manage large complex transition in to IBM support, including server and data migrations, server and infrastructure builds, and data center moves. I work closely with IBM customers to develop and execute plans to insure service improvement and minimize business disruption.

Directs multiple project managers, architects, business analysts, and developers on a global team to deliver new applications, enhanced application functionality and provide ongoing steady state support. Manages teams that provide end to end life cycle support for multiple IBM internal applications, including both development and production support. Additional scope includes requirements management, budget management and cost savings attainment, SLA availability attainment, audit posture, application deployment, user documentation and end user training.

IT Manager responsible for the delivery of middleware application support for all U.S. based commercial outsourcing accounts. Scope includes the leadership of 12 first line managers and over 400 web administrators and architects in the US plus additional global supplemental staff in India, Brazil and China that support over 100 web middleware products including Websphere, Weblogic, Apache, LDAP, MQ, IIS and iPlanet for over 100 commercial and internal customers. Responsibilities include personnel management, setting organization direction, developing ‘best of breed’ processes/procedures, ensuring adherence to all audit requirements, interfacing with account executive community on all facets of service delivery (resource planning, problem management, change management, etc.). Additional responsibilities include new engagement activities and global ownership of middleware support processes world wide.

IT manager responsible for the delivery of database support. Responsibilities include supporting IBM internal and commercial applications and accounts, reviewing upgrade/maintenance plans, involvement in critical situation problem management, and financials. Additional responsibilities include personnel management for a group of IT database professionals, setting organization direction, developing ‘best of breed’ processes/procedures, ensuring adherence to all audit requirements, and interfacing with account executive community on all facets of service delivery (resource planning, problem management, change management, etc.).

• Responsible for designing and maintaining complex database designs, developing implementation plans, analyzing and coordinating a large distributed information systems environment, providing technical guidance and recommendations while addressing customer requirements. • Additional responsibilities included focus on capacity planning and overall environment performance for the ViewPointe account and solution design and Service Request response support for the Solectron account.

• Provided high level technical direction, SLA tracking and reporting, client interface, staffing, employee development, budget and planning, project leadership, employee review and compensation for major telecom account.

Provided support for Oracle and Sybase databases for multiple applications and servers. Responsibilities included installation, configuration, backup and recovery procedures, maintenance, and performance tuning, escalated problem support, technical evaluation of new/potential staff, work distribution and assignments, and project leadership.
