As a member of the e-Learning team at BB&T University, I designed and developed online courses and software simulations for internal BB&T employees using SCORM and AICC communication protocols. I also worked closely with internal lines of business to assess training needs and determine the most effective training solutions for targeted audiences. This position utilized my strong instructional design, multimedia development, graphic design and web design skills.

While working in the Instructional Design & Development department, I consulted with faculty to integrate appropriate technology into traditional and online courses. I utilized instructional design principles to develop and facilitate instructor-led and online training covering various existing and emerging educational technologies. I developed interactive multimedia and websites for courses and course projects, shot, edited, compressed and published course-related video, as well as performed system administrator duties in the Blackboard learning management system. My duties included project manager, instructional designer, and developer/programmer. I led several design teams for ScienceWorks, Inc. to produce and update numerous interactive educational software titles. I designed and delivered software training in Dreamweaver, Director, and Flash for clients. I also consulted with several advertising agencies to produce interactive marketing tools.

I designed and developed interactive educational software on CD-ROM using Macromedia (now Adobe) Director. I was responsible for all stages of educational software design and development including planning, instructional design, software design and development, and programming. Windows & Mac OS.

I developed custom windows front-end software for sales, marketing, and consumer affairs, and maintained customer relations to develop project specifications and requirements. I programmed custom specifications using SAGE, an interpreted language with embedded SQL syntax. I also utilized database tools for database design and testing, and wrote custom reports using Crystal Reports. Clients I supported include Revlon, LG Electronics, and Conoco Phillips.
