In February 2016 after months of negotiation following an approach from my network, I had the good fortune of being able to sell my business. This comes with it's advantages of being able to have some time out, enjoy time with the family, take life a little easier and of course spoil oneself.......a little.However, after a few months I was itching to get back to work and do what I'm best at, hence I decided to set up my own independent insurance brokerage, Protectus Healthcare Ltd, to continue where I left off.I have always believed with "Insuring What Matters" which has now become the company motto.What matters is your health, your family, your income and your business. All these are what make your world go around and hopefully get you through life painlessly. However, in reality this is not always the case and one needs to be prepared for the unexpected. My aim is to always look at the full picture, take a long-term view and produce an affordable honest insurance solution to cover for the unforeseen.Whatever the insurance need, I will always offer an independent and impartial opinion on the best cause of action. Here I carried out two roles, one was as the Sales & Marketing Director for the Premier Choice Group with responsibility of looking after up to 60 consultants, the majority being self employed insurance advisers running their own insurance intermediary businesses.My other role was as MD of Independent Health Insurance Services Ltd, building up my own substantial portfolio of loyal personal and SME clients for whom I advised on Health insurance, Life Insurance, Critical illness, Income Protection, Keyman Cover, Partnership/Shareholder Protection, Health Cash Plans Employee Benefits & Employee Assistance Plans.

My expertise was in the sale of both freehold and leasehold businesses throughout the Yorkshire region. Selling virtually every type of business gave me a real insight in to how businesses operate with in different sectors and what was required for them to maintain functionality and more importantly profitable. A great deal of effort is required to build a successful business and that hard work needs to be protected.Businesses, their owners and employees need protecting and selling businesses over a 16 year period, offered me a solid foundation to be able to understand and offer the services I do today by way of medical insurance, keyman cover, partnership/shareholder protection, critical illness insurance and business health cash plans.
