A few weeks ago, a member of our Board of Directors affectionately referred to me as 'our CLO, Chief Listening Officer.' I must admit, I've taken quite a liking to that title, even if my spouse might consider it aspirational. But that's perfectly fine because it certainly aligns with the direction I aim to pursue.My journey with CONTACT began in 2015 when we had just two employees and a dedicated group of volunteers. Today, we've grown to a team of over 100 employees, and our growth continues. I am fortunate to lead an exceptional team that has been instrumental in this endeavor. When executed effectively, my role involves listening, providing support, and occasionally presenting possibilities and the vision of what might be ahead. Ultimately, I aim to empower the team and step aside to let them soar.The transformation of this 50-year-old organization is truly remarkable. It is now rejuvenated and poised to provide another 50 years of invaluable service, enhancing the mental health of our world. It's astounding how much a little listening can contribute to this mission.
