In this dual role I support a team of systems engineers, business analysts and developers with the responsibility of enhancing the way our employees connect to each other in a digital workplace. This team is responsible for the architecture, design. management and support of Esri’s Digital Workspace environment including the unified communications and collaboration infrastructure worldwide. This primarily consists of the full Office 365 suite (Exchange Online, Teams, Power Platform, OneDrive, SharePoint Online) along with complementary services such as Zoom and Slack. We support operations in more than 50 offices in 18 countries and across the US.In addition, I support a team of developers and analysts who partner with our Training Services division to design and develop Esri’s customer facing learning management system (LMS), our Khoros based customer community platform and a custom developed learning management content system built in Python (LCMS) to support course creation.

Supported a team of systems administrators responsible for the management of our core Microsoft, Linux, Communication, VM, Cloud and Storage environments. This was a globally distributed team consisting of 25 staff with 4 team leads reporting to me. Technology supported include AWS, Azure, a 200+ node VMWare environment, Active Directory, Skype for Business, Exchange, DNS, DHCP and associated services that support IT infrastructure globally.

I taught a “Maintaining and Supporting Computers” class that prepared students to take the CompTIA A+ certification exam. This included determining what curriculum should be used, crafting the class syllabus and schedule, and creating lab assignments to ensure students are equipped to pass this test. While in this role I have achieved the highest level of student evaluation scores, above that of the rest of the business department instructors.

I started with Kaiser supporting the Riverside County service area onsite and eventually moved into a lead role for national operations at their Corona, CA datacenter. My team was responsible for desktop and server support nationwide and served as the escalation point for all onsite desktop support technicians nationwide. My team was also responsible for working with our desktop engineering team to test out new solutions and help troubleshoot issues that were seen in the field. My team achieved the highest ticket closure count and customer satisfaction score of our department.
