I am a licensed psychologist in independent private practice since 1987 providing adult individual, family, and couples therapy for depression related disorders; anxiety and adjustment disorders; and relationships, parenting and career issues. Business & Sports Performance Consulting: With particular experience within the food service and hospitality sector in Greater Baltimore, I also consult for family members and others who are in business together, to improve harmony, emotional health and profits. I have parlayed my irrepressible lifelong love for football and devotion to analysis of the game and players into consulting for individuals and teams in matters of sports performance. It was a joy to consult for the NFL’s Rookie Development Program for two years for the Baltimore Ravens, which provided skills development for players in emotional intelligence, time management, and interpersonal relationships with a focus on risky behavior and domestic violence. My therapy approach is eclectic, creative, abundantly compassionate and firmly pragmatic. I synthesize among Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Humanistic; Psychodynamic; Compassion and Emotionally Focused; Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Structural Family Therapy; and others. Currently, I am a provider for The Johns Hopkins EHP and The Uniformed Services Family Health Plan (USFHP), and I assist with paperwork needed to file for out of network insurance benefits.
