Senior Manager, Reporting & Analytics

I joined GLG to establish an all new Reporting and Analytics team within GLG Strategic Solutions. As part of this I led a team overseeing global client deliverables, working across all verticals and business units within GLG Strategic Solutions. We were responsible for creating and delivering reports that are both insightful and innovative; our work drew on academically rigorous research methodology applied to traditional market research in order to deliver reports that yielded strategic, actionable insights for our clients. In this role I was responsible for the strategic vision of the team and our reporting capabilities, managing and developing a team of research professionals, establishing workflows/best practices, and growing our analytical capabilities/toolkit. My work included project management of all Reporting and Analytics work, ensuring high quality deliverables were consistently delivered on multiple overlapping projects that range in length from a few days to a few months.

Manager, Strategic Solutions Reporting And Analytics

New York, Ny

My main responsibilities in this role were to build and guide the strategic direction of the team dedicated to helping GLG’s global clients understand and make the most of their research data. Our work here included everything from helping clients interpret their data to creating custom, client-driven decks with highlighted key insights. In addition to my primary responsibilities listed above, I also made contributions to our Operations arm. I co-led the search for a new survey hosting tool that allowed us to implement the complicated, custom programming work our clients requested of us, as well as offer more advanced, scalable, and client-friendly deliverable options. After selecting a new software, I led the efforts to customize our instance to better suite GLG’s clients, working with our tool's software developers and internal stakeholders. This involved defining and managing the development work of custom data outputs, automated reporting standards, and an automatic data-quality flagging system designed to allow GLG to offer live data access to clients for the first time in company history. Beyond this, I also helped with the transition from our old survey platform to the new one, both on the internal IT side and on the project management side (organizing and leading trainings, etc.). Outside of my work with the new survey platform, I also co-lead the search for a panel management and taxonomy tool. This work involved writing and defining a new taxonomy for our data that would allowed us to completely own and manage the data collection/refresh process, allowing us utilize closed-ended, Boolean logic-driven searches for the first time. As part of this I also led the initiative to recode and map what data we had to our newly defined taxonomy.

Assistant Director, Reporting And Survey Research

New York, Ny

I managed the team that responsible for university-wide internal and external reporting, survey research projects, and BI dashboard design/implementation. Across these three areas we serviced clients in federal and state government, private rankings groups, VPs/Deans of schools, and various departments and offices throughout NYU.I also provided research and analytic support to various groups throughout NYU. This often included interpretation of data and the creation of BI dashboards. In my survey research capacity, this also included consulting on projects ranging in scope from reviewing a previously developed questionnaire to creating research questions, writing a questionnaire, administering the survey, and providing reports and analytics. This work often had me working closely with groups such as our admissions team, our marketing team, and various alumni and advising offices.I also continued to provide training and support in Tableau and Qualtrics, as well as providing strategic planning and guidance for the office as we position ourselves and advertise our services within the University.

Dec 2015 - Feb 2017

Institutional Research Analyst

New York, Ny

My primary responsibility was to coordinate all aspects of internal surveying and provide consulting for survey related projects to the broader campus. Our projects range in size and scope from small departmental surveys to large, university-wide surveys. The majority of our stakeholders are deans and other upper level administration. I was responsible for managing all phases of survey work conducted by our office. This includes pre-planning, marketing, survey and question design, distribution, analysis, and report writing. Furthermore, as part of this function I work to increase the visibility of our surveying services outside the department. This has yielded thousands of dollars in savings for schools who would otherwise contract out their survey work.My secondary responsibility was data visualization. Most often, this is in the form of highly interactive online dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. I also provided self-designed Tableau and data visualization best practices training courses to my colleagues.
