    I ensure our team and its campus partners are equipped with the necessary tools and evidence to drive decision making and student-centered practices that support the university’s retention and graduation goals.     At Ursinus, I work with our campus partners to create and refine data-informed student success and retention practices. My passion project is using Tableau to create interactive, retention-focused dashboards that combine academic performance, demographic data, and survey results in one convenient platform. These dashboards allow our Academic Affairs and Students Affairs personnel to both understand overall trends and to quickly identify students for specific interventions related to their needs. I've also undertaken several academic-focused predictive modeling projects designed to identify students who may be likely to struggle in certain courses.Outside of these major projects, I work as a data Swiss Army knife for many different campus initiatives. I work with Student Affairs to manage the Maxient student conduct database, oversee the administration and data analysis of large surveys (such as NSSE and BCSSE), and help divisions and departments use data to make decisions. I'm also volunteering as a first-year advisor, developing an introductory Data Analytics course for Spring 2019, and serving on the Interfaith Strategic Planning Committee.

    My primary role in the First Year Experience Office was managing the administration and analysis of a pre-enrollment student success survey. This role required not only the minutiae associated with data management and cleaning, but also translating the 600,000+ collected data points into usable reports for our office as well as partner offices from around the university. Another primary responsibility was supervising fourteen "Peer Leaders" that serve as both orientation leaders during the summer and peer mentors during the school year. Through this role I coached students in one-on-one meetings, planned content for staff meetings, and organized outreach campaigns to at-risk members of the class. My particular focus areas were supporting low-income students and students from underserved high schools. Additionally, I helped to design and implement a pre-enrollment program for first generation college students and a weekend retreat for first year students seeking additional academic and emotional support. I also collaborated to prepare and execute summer orientation programs for over 6,000 incoming students each year. Finally, during the fall I read and reviewed freshman admission applications.
