I am currently seeking a position as a Geospatial Analyst or Environmental Scientist, with a strong interest in specializing in Natural Hazards and Environmental Risk Analysis.I hold a B.S. in Geoscience from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography. Throughout my academic career, I gained hands-on experience through extensive lab and fieldwork, technical writing, and poster presentations. I was honored to receive the 2018 Student Choice Award at the 7th Annual Poster Exhibition and the Edwin L. Drake Memorial Scholarship. During my internship with the USGS National Earthquake Center, I utilized ArcMap to create a seismic hazard map. Additionally, I was selected for a prestigious fellowship program at URI, where I modeled finite fault slips using MATLAB and Python, further honing my technical and analytical skills.Professionally, I began my career as a LiDAR Technician at Merrick & Co., where I processed aerial point cloud data to ensure its accuracy and reliability. At NV5, I worked as a GIS Technician, contributing to California’s water conservation efforts by mapping vegetation. I also contributed to projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA, and Amazon, where I deepened my proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop. With over 10 years of volunteer experience with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, I am passionate about giving back to the community. While at Penn State, I co-founded a sorority, served as vice president of the Marine Science Club, and played an active role in the Scuba Club as both Event Coordinator and Secretary. In the future, I hope to leverage machine learning for applications such as climate modeling and hazard risk analysis. I am eager to apply my educational background and professional experience to make a positive impact at a company that shares my passion for advancing our understanding of the natural world.
